The Pilot, from Suunto, is a bracket mounted 2in direct read compass with multiple mounting capabilities, including surface mounting. Compass card illumination can be activated with a flashlight. The Pilot is a great marine compass, as it is the perfect size for small motor boats, sailboats, and canoes or any other vehicles with little or no magnetic interference caused by metallic objects.
